Rosen Plevneliev is the fourth democratically elected President of Bulgaria.
He was born on May 14, 1964 in the town of Gotse Delchev.
His father was a teacher of literature, and his mother is a teacher of mathematics. In 1982 he graduated with honours from the Natural Science and Mathematics High School in Blagoevgrad. The same year, he came first in the National Computer Programming Contest.
From 1982 to 1984, he did his national military service at the military school for reserve officers in the town of Pleven and at the Computer Centre at the General Staff of the Bulgarian Army, Sofia.
From 1984 to 1989, he studied at and graduated from the Technical University in Sofia as computer engineer. As a student, he participated in the development of innovative products at the computer laboratory of the Technical University and the National Institute of Microprocessor Technology. From 1989 to 1990, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of Microprocessor Technology.
From 1990 to 1998 he was a founder and CEO of IRIS International LTD and managed the company operations in Germany. In this period, he was responsible for the management and completion of more than 80 construction projects in Germany. He participated in the implementation and completion of projects including the Reichstag, Commerzbank Frankfurt, Münich Airport and Düsseldorf Airport.
From 1999 to 2009 he managed the largest German investments in Bulgaria in the field of construction and real estate. He started some of Bulgaria’s major international projects, including Sofia Business Park and Residential Park Sofia. As General Manager of Business Park Sofia, in 2008 he was given the Investor of the Year Award by the Bulgarian Investments Agency.

Sarah Burnett is a Vice President of Research at Everest Group. Based in London, Sarah serves European clients across Everest Group’s global services research areas. She also leads the company’s research on Service Delivery Automation (SDA).
As well as contributing to media, Sarah often speaks at leading client and industry events. Well known throughout the UK and the rest of Europe as a thought leader and influencer, she is active in social media as a frequent blogger and Twitter user.
In May 2016 Computer Weekly named Sarah one of the top 50 most influential women in the UK IT industry.
Sarah offers more than 20 years of experience and expertise in the global services industry, having served in a variety of capacities, including in-house practitioner, outsourcing provider, and research analyst.
Prior to joining Everest Group, Sarah spent three years as a Vice President with another analyst firm where she had global responsibility for programs covering government business process outsourcing and IT infrastructure management.
Anurag is a Practice Director with Everest Group and has rich experience in leading projects across topics such as location optimization, benchmarking (cost, talent), captives/global in-house centres (GICs), and industry-specific sourcing trends. Anurag advises buyers, GICs, service providers, and country associations / investment promotion agencies.
He also leads Everest Group’s Locations InsiderTM subscription and the MAP MatrixTM offering.
He has over 10 years of professional experience, across consulting and research. Anurag’s experience on locations optimization and benchmarking topics ranges across verticals (banking, financial services, retail, energy, professional services), functions (IT, business process, contact center, engineering/R&D), and regions (North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific
Prior to joining Everest Group, Anurag was a Manager with Evalueserve. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Trained as a journalist and a film maker, he has worked for broadcast media for over a decade. Darina has more than 20 years of professional experience in the recruiting and executive search industry. She has extensive experience in HR consulting, selection, competence assessment and trainings as well as in identification and development of personality and leadership potential. In the beginning of 2006 she took the challenge to start up the business of Stanton Chase in Bulgaria and during the years she has been actively involved in the expansion of the business as well as in building up and developing the local team. Prior to Stanton Chase Darina has worked in the area of HR consulting at HILL International and Smartree Bulgaria. George Gueorguiev holds the position of Country Manager at Adecco Bulgaria, part of Adecco Group, based in Zurich, Switzerland. In Bulgaria, Adecco is a leading consulting company in the field of human resources. It provides services in search and selection, temporary staffing, project management and other specialized areas to leading international and IT companies. The two Adecco offices are located in major cities in Bulgaria and works with some of the biggest IT and BPO businesses in the country.
George Gueorguiev has more than 15 years experience in management of local and international companies, among which are Xerox, Sciant (VMWare) & CableTel. Before Adecco, he occupied the position of Regional Director (South-East Europe) at Motorola Bulgaria, as well as CEO in Bulgaria.
George Gueorguiev has been a member of the board of directors at The American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria for two consecutive terms – from January 2008 to January 2012. Adrian is the Managing Partner of Avasant Europe. He is an experienced Sourcing and IT business Management Consultant working with a wide range of clients and service providers globally across all areas of the Sourcing Lifecycle. This has included a number of engagements conducting sourcing strategies and supporting the management of complex IS/IT functions. In October 2015 Adrian was inducted into the IAOP Leadership Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is unique in that it recognizes individuals not only for their contributions to the management practice and industry of outsourcing, but also just as importantly for their contributions to society at-large through outsourcing. He is also lead co-chair for the IAOP’s UK & Ireland Chapter. Adrian was Chair of the ISO Committee on Outsourcing (PC/259). This committee drawn from a wide range of countries and organisations has recently published the International Standard ISO 37500 which sets out good industry practice intended for use by outsourcing customers, providers and advisers world-wide. Adrian is a member of the UK NOA Advisory Council. He represented the outsourcing industry on the Committee which drafted the British Standard on Collaborative Business Relationships (BS11000). Prior to this, as Vice-President Gartner Consulting, Strategic Sourcing EMEA Adrian Quayle led and delivered client engagements throughout EMEA and worldwide. He carried out a wide range of assignments assisting clients in structuring and assessing their outsourcing deals across many industry sectors, including the use of global sourcing / delivery models). Examples of assignments he carried out included:
- developing the sourcing strategy for a global pharmaceutical company which included a comprehensive market scan of tier 1 and tier 2 service providers
- review of a major sourcing Applications Development project for large international bank
- performance reviews of a major European Outsourcing deal and a global Outsourcing deal with both Service Recipients and Service Providers

Prior to this he was a Vice President in Gartner Measurement EMEA, and a Principal Consultant for ACT Business Systems. Adrian began his career as a telecommunications engineer, worked as a computer systems engineer becoming a consultant to management in IT. He also worked as a senior management services manager in a large retail group. Mr. Quayle earned a BSc Electrical Engineering and Electronics and a Diploma in Management Studies (DMS). He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the UK Institute of Management and a Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET).
Mark Hulme holds the position as Head of Shared Services based here in Sofia for American International Group (AIG). AIG is a leading international insurance organisation serving commercial, institutional, and individual customers through one of the most extensive worldwide property-casualty networks of any insurer.
Mark has more than 18 years of experience in global services outsourcing having previously spent over 10 years at Hewlett-Packard where he has held senior Global Delivery and Account Executive positions the most recent of which was as Account Executive for Adecco based in Lyon France. Before Hewlett-Packard he spent 8 years at IBM holding several roles again in the global outsourcing part of the business.
As part of his outsourcing career Mark has lived and worked in France, UK, South Africa, Finland, Spain and Sweden overseeing work migrations, managing services and teams from locations including Bulgaria, Ireland, Slovakia, India, China, Malaysia and the America’s.
Peter Ivanov is Manager, Entrepreneur and Virtual teams Expert with over 20 years of international experience.
Born in Bulgaria he graduated Mathematics and joined a multinational company as Data Analyst. He quickly became IT Manager for Bulgaria and gradually worked his way up to IT Services Manager for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
