Rossen Ivanov is a managing partner at BlackPeak Capital, one of the selected fund managers by the European Investment Fund (EIF), which will manage a co-investment venture capital fund under the JEREMIE initiative. The Fund, already operating with an initial capital of 10 million euros, focuses on investing in small and medium enterprises.
Mr. Ivanov was previously partner at Entrea Capital, an independent M&A and corporate finance advisory firm in Bulgaria.
Prior to establishing Entrea Capital, Rossen Ivanov worked at McKinsey & Co. in New Jersey/New York, where he focused on consumer goods, industrial and private equity clients. Prior to McKinsey, he worked as an investment associate at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, based in London, where he was responsible for structuring debt and equity investments across Eastern Europe.
Rossen started his career at Procter & Gamble Balkan Markets in Bucharest, where he was responsible for evaluating new product launches across South-East Europe for P&G’s largest product category.
He holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from the American University in Bulgaria.

Dimitar Kostadinov is a Managing Partner at Entrea Capital. Dimitar joined the firm in 2008 and has been instrumental for its development as the leading independent investment banking service provider in Bulgaria. He successfully executed multiple fundraising, debt restructuring and M&A transactions with a focus on the FMCG and industrials sectors.
Prior to joining Entrea Capital, Dimitar Kostadinov served as the executive director, head of clients, and a member of the management team at ING Bank, Bulgaria. Dimitar was responsible for ING’s portfolio of corporate clients, strategic positioning, and all aspects of business origination and relationship management in the country. During his tenure at ING, Dimitar led the overall development of structured finance and corporate banking operations in the country through leveraging ING’s international product expertise.
In 2004, upon returning to Bulgaria, Dimitar acted as the financial and economic advisor to the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, advising him on policy issues in the transportation, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors. Dimitar managed senior staff in the restructuring and strengthening of key state-owned enterprises in the telecommunications and marine transport sectors.
From 2001 to 2004, Dimitar was an equity research analyst at UBS Investment Banking, initially in Tokyo, Japan, and subsequently in London, the UK. At UBS, Dimitar covered the Consumer Goods and TMT sectors. While at UBS London, Dimitar published research reports and recommended investment strategies with a focus on the European FMCG sector. He liaised with companies’ senior management to discuss financial results and corporate strategic positioning. While as UBS Tokyo, Dimitar researched Japanese media stocks with a focus on advertising, broadcasting, and satellite sectors. He also helped develop the bank’s proprietary trading desk and worked on the IPO of Dentsu, the largest Japanese advertising agency.
Dimitar started his financial career with Salomon Smith Barney in the US where he developed and implemented equity and mutual funds investment strategies for high-net-worth investors.
Dimitar holds an MBA degree in International Finance from Brandeis University and a BA degree in Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG).
Ivaylo Spasov co-founded Entrea Capital in 2007 and has subsequently established it as the leading independent Bulgarian investment banking firm. Ivaylo has more than 10 years of experience in numerous sell- and buy-side mandates, as well as privatization transactions.
Prior to co-founding Entrea Capital, Ivaylo was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, where he was a member of the transaction advisory services team. Ivaylo had started his carrier as an auditor at Arthur Andersen. During that time, Ivaylo worked on numerous audit engagements with high profile clients, including MTEL and Socotab, as well as with many TMT and industrial companies.
Ivaylo’s area of expertise and experience includes transaction support services, valuation services, M&A advice, financial analysis, investment appraisals, restructuring and privatizations. He has extensive experience in a large number of buy-side and sell-side due diligence and valuation processes across various industries, including manufacturing, construction, financial services, energy and utilities, telecommunications, power generation and distribution, food and drink, etc.
Ivaylo holds an MA degree in International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy in Bulgaria.

Christian has more than seven years of working experience in mezzanine finance and investment banking in Central and Eastern Europe and the DACH region.
He joined Mezzanine Management in July 2010 and – based in the Vienna headquarters and responsible for deal generation and execution - covers Austria’s neighbouring markets, Bulgaria, the Balkans and the Baltics. Mezzanine Management advises three leading Central and Eastern European focused mezzanine funds and advised on committing and investing over EUR 500 million in 38 companies across 10 countries. Mezzanine Management operates out of Vienna with satellite offices in Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest and Kiev.
Before joining Mezzanine Management, Christian worked at a Frankfurt-based mid-market mezzanine fund focusing on the DACH region, where he was responsible for new investments and portfolio monitoring. During the financial crisis, Christian gained comprehensive restructuring experience in a number of industries. He started his career at CEE’s leading investment bank CAIB, now part of Unicredit’s Markets and Investment Banking division, working on transactions in Austria and CEE.
Christian holds a Masters degree from the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna, where he majored in corporate finance and strategic management/controlling.
Teodora Ovcharova is the Executive Director and member of the Board of consultancy ELANA Investment. She is a consultant with 14 years of experience in EU pre-accession and operational programmes. Mrs. Ovcharova is a member of some work groups on the development of the new EU programmes 2014 – 2020. She is a member of the Investment Committee of the Regional Urban Development Fund of JESSICA initiative.
Mrs. Ovcharova has worked on developing and managing investment projects for OP Competitiveness, OP Environment, Rural Development Programme, OP Regional Development, Phare and SAPARD.
She has developed programmes for enterprise restructuring, M&A projects; participated in the financial structuring of the public Energy efficiency and renewable energy sources Fund; developed Integrated plans for urban regeneration and development; managed the team for ex-ante assessment of financial instruments implementation for OP Innovation and competitiveness 2014-2020. Mrs. Ovcharova has experience with projects of seed funds in Bulgaria - Launch Hub and Eleven.
Teodora Ovcharova joined ELANA Investment team in 2000 as a financial analyst. In 2001 she became the head of M&A department. In the period of 2006 – 2007 she was Business Development Manager for ELANA Holding. In 2007 she joined again the team of ELANA Investment as the head of EU Programmes department. In 2009 she was assigned to be the member of the Board of the company.
Since May 2012 Mrs. Ovcharova is the Executive Director of ELANA Investment and member of the Board. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy.
Julian Gikov is CEO of Raiffeisen Investment Bulgaria, where he has been involved in M&A consulting in Bulgaria and the SEE region for the last 7 years. Since joining the company, he has advised on numerous large international M&A transactions – many of those jointly executed with Lazard. He has extensive investment banking experience in the energy, telecommunications, heavy industry, consumer goods, retail, agriculture, ТМТ, RE and other sectors. In 2011, Julian Gikov received "Best M&A Deal in CEE" prize awarded to Raiffeisen Investment by the international EMEA Finance magazine for consulting a EUR 545 million deal in the energy sector in Bulgaria. Since autumn 2014, Julian is also covering the Western Balkans region.
Prior to that, as part of KPMG’s Financial Services team, Julian has worked on assurance and corporate finance projects including audit, due diligence, IPOs and securitizations in various industries with focus on financial institutions. Julian has previous experience at UBS, London - Investment Banking and Fixed Income divisions and gained experience at Ernst & Young, Stuttgart - Corporate Finance Dpt. where he was involved in M&A, squeeze-out transactions and enterprise valuations. He also had internship at Bloomberg, London.
Mr. Gikov is PhD in Economics. He is MBA from SIU in Germany and USA, and has a Bachelor in Financial Management & Accounting from The Buckingham University in the UK. He has also specialised in Banking at LSE, London.
Ilko Stoyanov is a local partner of Schoenherr in Sofia, where he specialises in Corporate, M&A and Competition Law.
Ilko has graduated in law from the Sofia University and has an LL.M. degree from the Columbia Law School.
Ilko regularly acts for clients on multinational acquisitions and corporate restructurings in the telecom, technology, insurance, manufacturing and energy industries. Ilko is speaker on conferences regarding foreign investments and author of publications in the field of the mergers and acquisitions in Bulgaria (The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Mergers & Acquisition (Global Legal Group, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011).
Isfandyar Zaman Khan is the Program Leader responsible for the Financial Sector and Competitiveness issues covering the new EU Member States and is based in Brussels. He works on issues related to financial sector development as it relates to access to finance, capital markets development, innovative finance and post crisis management. In his 12 years at the World Bank, he has worked in number of countries such as Armenia, Bosnia, Croatia, India, Kosovo, Nigeria, Turkey, Pakistan and Ukraine, India, Pakistan. Prior to the World Bank he worked at the Investment Bank of Salomon Smith Barney in New York. He holds a Masters in International Finance and Economic Policy from Columbia University.
Todor Todorov is Director Financial Advisory at Deloitte Bulgaria.
Todor started his career as an investment banker in the New York office of J.P. Morgan in the M&A department of the bank. Four years later he co-founded a small hedge fund investing in U.S. equities and derivative products.
Over the last 7 years Todor has been advising Bulgarian companies and locally present multinationals in business combinations, capital raising and restructuring projects. Todor is currently part of the financial advisory team in Deloitte Central Europe and is responsible for the M&A advisory business in Bulgaria.
In his career Todor contributed to the successful execution of transactions with an aggregate value in excess of €4bln.
Hristo Stoyanov manages the business development activities in Bulgaria of the European Investment Fund. He joined the EIF office in Sofia as mandate manager in 2011 responsible for the operations of a Bulgarian holding fund providing EU Structural Funds through SME-focused financial instruments including guarantees, start-up accelerators and venture capital. He is member of the Board of Directors of JEREMIE Bulgaria - company, acting as an umbrella fund with diversified portfolio of private equity funds and risk-sharing commitments to local credit institutions. Prior to joining the EIF, Hristo managed M&A advisory projects at Forem Consulting in Sofia. He holds a MBA degree from University of Notre Dame in the USA.
Kristofor Pavlov holds a MS degree in Accounting and Control from the University of National and World Economy. He has three years of professional experience in on-site inspections and statutory reporting of financial institutions; three years of professional experience as middle manager responsible for strategic planning and performance measurement in three different financial institutions; and three years of professional experience as member of the management board of DSK Bank, with contribution to the restructuring of the bank and its preparation for privatization.
Since 2002 Kristofor Pavlov has been working as a chief economist of UniCredit Bulbank with focus on macro, FX and financial sector analysis and research.
Stephane Gantchev is Partner at LAUNCHub, a 9M seed fund supporting the most promising entrepreneurs and digital startups in Bulgaria and South Eastern Europe. Prior to Launchub, Stephane started his career in France, initially in the largest IT service provider company Atos Origin. He moved later to Orange (France Telecom) where he was Head of Innovations for the Orange France Mobile entity, discovering and trialing start-up in the mobile/telecom space. Stephane has been very active in the Bulgarian mobile and entrepreneur event scene contributing its grow, he co-founded in 2009 MobileMonday Sofia, and recently co-organized the Balkan Venture Forum 2013 and DigitalK 2014.
Zlatolina Mukova is an experienced investor with a track record in private equity, start-ups, turnarounds and financial management. Prior to joining NEVEQ, she was the CEO of EuroIns Insurance Group, a publicly listed insurance business active in Southeast Europe. She also worked as a Deputy Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, overseeing transformational transactions of the authority's portfolio companies. Prior to this, she worked as a senior investment executive with a regional private equity fund, launched by EBRD. Zlatolina holds an ACCA certified diploma, in addition to Master degrees in engineering and accounting, and speaks English and Russian.
Mr. Elvin Guri is an investor and entrepreneur with a successful track record in financial services. He is currently CEO of River Styxx Capital, an investment and advisory firm. In addition, Mr. Guri is the CEO of Empower Capital Advisor, which will manage the 15 mln. euro co-investment fund as part of the Jeremie programme. He started his career as Auditor at Price Waterhouse in Sofia. Starting from October 1996, he spent more than five years with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), both in London and in Sofia. Mr. Guri co-founded JetFinance International (JetFinance), a consumer finance institution, in 2001-2002. Post JetFinance, Mr. Guri has been involved, as an investor and as a mentor, in financial services and in technology ventures.

Evgeny Angelov has been an Economic Advisor to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria since January 2012. His efforts are directed at raising the competitiveness of Bulgarian companies, promoting energy efficiency, strengthening the innovation ecosystem and improving the business environment. From the summer of 2009 until the end of 2011, Mr. Angelov held the position of Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism. He was responsible for economic, investment and innovation policy formulation and implementation; supervision of over fifty state-owned companies; and the governance of the €1.2bn Operational Programme "Competitiveness". During this time, he served as the Chairman of the Board of both the Bulgarian Energy Holding and the National Electricity Company. Concurrently, he was the Head of the Investment Board of JEREMIE Bulgaria, a €200mm Holding Fund, which provides equity and debt financing to start-ups and SME's. Since 2011, he has been Bulgaria's SME Envoy to the European Commission. Prior to that, Mr. Angelov founded and led Attria Capital Partners, an investment and advisory company focused on Southeast Europe, and New Energy Partners, a renewable energy development company. Between 2005 and 2003, he was Director at Trigranit Development Corporation, a leading real estate development company in Central and Eastern Europe. From 1995 to 2003, Mr. Angelov held various positions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he structured, negotiated and executed debt and equity transactions in the financial services, pharmaceutical, cement, real estate and chemical industries in ten Central and Eastern European countries. Evgeny Angelov holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a BA degree from London Guildhall University. He currently serves as President of the Harvard Club of Bulgaria.
Danail Danailov is member of the board of Speedy JSC (responsible for strategy and business development).
He has 20 years of extensive experience in business and finance with emphasize on equity investment; consulting and privatization; stock markets and macroeconomic analysis.
In 2011, Dani joined the management team of Speedy Group (Bulgarian investment group focusing on courier, logistics, transport, car dealership and lubricants distribution).
Dani has worked for 12 years in the Balkan region on the field of private equity and has developed specific experience in a variety of industries including: Energy (LPG distribution, engineering solutions), Paper products production, Stationary product distribution, Electronics production, Waste processing and recycling, Food processing, Food services, and Renewable energy.
Dani joined SEAF (US based private equity management) in 2000 as a financial analyst involved in deal origination; in 2003 he was promoted to Senior Investment Officer of Trans Balkan Bulgaria Fund and from 2009 to 2011 Dani was Managing Director of SEAF- Bulgaria.
From 1998 to 2000 Dani Danailov worked with Brno Broker Group (a Czech brokerage and investment advisory company) in Bulgaria. Initially he was a broker and later was involved as a consultant on privatization projects in energy and media.
From 1996 to 1998 Dani Danailov was an economist with the Agency for Economic Analysis and Forecasting within Bulgarian Ministry of Finance.
Mr. Danailov holds a MS in Finance from the University for National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria where he studied from 1992 to 1996. A Bulgarian national, Mr. Danailov speaks Bulgarian, English, French and Russian.
Stefan Bumov is a Chairman of the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association - a branch organisation which aims to consolidate the interests of companies that offer outsourcing services, boost the competitiveness of the environment and create additional conditions to bolster foreign investments in the sector.
Stefan Bumov is the General Manager of Sofica Group for Bulgaria and Macedonia, Vice President Operations, CEE for TeleTech Holdings Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors. He has led the company and its growth from 30 to over 800 employees since 2007. Prior to joining Sofica Group he held senior positions in HP, including Sales Manager for Bulgaria and Sales Strategy and Development Manager for CEE, the Middle East and Africa.
Borislav joined Deutsche Bank in 2000 and has held a variety of positions in the bank. He started his career in the Inhouse Consulting and Business Development departments at the headquarters in Frankfurt and contributed to the success of numerous projects in different locations in Germany and Western Europe. Since 2004 Borislav has been strongly involved in the business development activities of the bank in Central and Eastern Europe. He has been responsible for various growth projects in the region, e.g. Russia, Poland and Romania. In 2007 Borislav became Head of the Representative Office in Sofia. Since then Deutsche Bank AG has established itself as a reliable partner to the Bulgarian government and has arranged a couple of large-scale financing deals. Deutsche Bank is also the leading transaction banking partner for local banks and other financial institutions. The representative office in Sofia maintains active relationships with big Bulgarian corporates and has participated in five of the ten largest investment banking deals in the country in the last years. Since March 2014 Borislav manages as Chief Country Officer the subsidiary of Deutsche Bank in Kiev focused on corporate banking for leading MNCs and key local corporates. Apart from the challenges of restructuring the portfolio in an unconventional market, Borislav works on the growth strategy of Deutsche Bank for the post-crisis period in Ukraine. The bank established itself as key partner for Government and National Bank in developing the recovery program and economic strategy of Ukraine. Borislav studied Business Administration at the Free University of Berlin (graduation as Diplom Kaufmann) with focus on finance and investment theory. He is fluent in German, English and Russian.
